David Zoldoske
Winner of the Roy William Memorial Award for 2025
Dr. David Zoldoske has been selected as the recipient of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC) Roy Williams Memorial Award. The award, named after one of ASIC’s founding members, is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the irrigation industry.
Zoldoske has been a dedicated leader in the irrigation community for many years, with his impact felt internationally and in the U.S. He served as Project Director for the establishment of the Zimbabwe Irrigation Technology Center and represented the U.S. in developing international irrigation equipment standards.
At California State University, Fresno (CSUF), Zoldoske held several key roles, including Director of Water Initiatives and Director of the Center for Irrigation Technology (CIT) from 1994 to 2017. Under his leadership, CIT became an internationally recognized irrigation test facility and the primary laboratory for testing WaterSense-labeled irrigation products. Zoldoske was a strong advocate for irrigation policy, testing protocols, and industry standards.
Throughout his career, Zoldoske has been a valued participant at ASIC conferences, sharing his expertise and insights with the Society’s members. His leadership and contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including President of the Irrigation Association, 2004-2005 Irrigation Association Person of the Year (2013), and CA Chapter of the American Society of Agronomy Person of the Year (2015).
ASIC is honored to present Dr. Zoldoske with this well-deserved recognition for his lasting contributions to the irrigation industry.
