The Membership Committee reviews the current membership structure and member outreach program. Its goal is to help ensure ASIC retains its current members plus attract and recruit new members and our future leaders.

This committee works in an advisory capacity with the Executive Director to review the ASIC Partner Program. The committee reviews commitment levels, creates an attractive package of Partner benefits, and suggests ways to add value to the program for both Partners and Professional Members.

The Certification Committee created the Certified Professional Irrigation Consultant (CPIC) exam, now available to eligible individuals. The committee continues to keep the exam current with industry standards and best practices.

The Resource Committee compiles relevant resources for our members and curates them on asic.org. The committee is also focused on keeping asic.org up to date and expanding ASIC’s social media presence.

The Advocacy Committee plays a vital role in advancing the mission of ASIC by promoting the interests of our industry and engaging with key stakeholders. The committee identifies emerging issues and advocates for policies that support the growth and sustainability of the irrigation industry.

Hands-on planning for the conferences and programs members rely on.
The National Conference Committee is responsible for the specific planning and logistics of the annual conference — venue selection, development of the educational agenda, identifying knowledgeable presenters, and general meeting planning.

This committee creates a suitable design problem and a battery of questions for the Irrigation Design Competition at the annual NALP NCLC event. ASIC is also lead sponsor for the Irrigation Design Workshop, taught annually by Brian Vinchesi. Our Partners, Hunter, Toro, Rain Bird and Ewing are also participants in this fun and vibrant gathering of young future professionals.

Steward the people who lead, recognize, and represent ASIC.
Seeks member input and identifies, vets, and recommends to the Board those deserving of ASIC’s three honor awards: The Sam Tobey Lifetime Achievement, The Roy Williams Memorial, and The Ivy Munion Langendorff Women in Irrigation Award.

Makes recommendations regarding the composition of the ASIC Board of Governors and candidates for office. The committee also recommends the appointment of committee chairs.
