Winner of the Sam Tobey Lifetime Achievement Award for 2025

Warren S. Gorowitz, Director of Sustainability and Social Impact at Hunter Industries, has been selected as the recipient of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC) Sam Tobey Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award is given annually to individuals whose contributions to ASIC’s principles and goals are deserving of special recognition.

For over 30 years, Gorowitz has been a leader in the landscape and irrigation industry, with a deep commitment to advancing ASIC’s mission of responsible water use. As a long-standing member of ASIC, he has served on the National Board of Directors and played a vital role in promoting water efficiency and sustainability, both key priorities for the Society. His leadership helped shape ASIC’s focus on sustainable irrigation practices and elevated the organization’s voice on critical water-related issues.

In addition to his work with ASIC, Gorowitz is a well-respected industry advocate, holding various leadership roles, including President of the Irrigation Association and founding board member of the Alliance for Water Efficiency. His expertise and dedication to water conservation and sustainability continue to have a lasting impact on ASIC and the industry at large.
