Winner of the Ivy Munion Langendorff Women In Irrigation Award for 2026

ASIC is pleased to present the 2026 Ivy Munion Langendorff Women in Irrigation Award to Katie Powell. This award, named in honor of Ivy Munion Langendorff, recognizes women who serve as role models and have made a significant impact on the irrigation industry.

Katie Powell is President of Munro Companies, a family-owned business with more than a century of history. Under her leadership, the company—encompassing Munro, a manufacturer of pumps and irrigation equipment, and Munro Supply—continues to grow through innovation and operational excellence. She has guided the development of products that advance industry standards and support efficient, responsible irrigation practices.

Her leadership has earned broad recognition, including being named Colorado Industrial Manufacturer of the Year and a finalist for Manufacturing Woman of the Year. Katie also serves on the boards of the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Association and Grand Junction’s Business Incubator Center and was recently appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Economic Advisory Council.

Beyond her organization, Katie plays a key role in advancing the irrigation profession. As a member of the Irrigation Association Board of Directors and current President-Elect, she is known for her collaborative leadership and commitment to strengthening partnerships across the industry.

Katie Powell exemplifies the innovation, leadership, and dedication this award represents and continues to inspire the next generation of women in irrigation.
