ASIC is pleased to recognize Chris Steele of Toro as the 2026 recipient of the Sam Tobey Lifetime Achievement Award. This distinguished honor is awarded annually to individuals whose contributions and dedication to ASIC and its mission have made a lasting impact.
As Senior Specification Manager for Toro, Chris has long been a champion for ASIC and its members. He has consistently supported Professional Consultants by providing resources, guidance, and advocacy to help them succeed. Known for his accessibility, expertise, and collaborative approach, Chris has built strong, trusted relationships across the industry.
Chris’s commitment to ASIC extends well beyond his professional role. He served six years on the ASIC Board of Directors and has been an active contributor to numerous committees. A familiar presence at nearly every National Conference over the past 25 years, he has also supported educational programming and played a key role in strengthening the Northern California Chapter.
Chris Steele embodies the legacy of Sam Tobey through his generosity, leadership, and unwavering support of the irrigation consulting profession.
